Key Steps for registering a firearm in Washington, DC

 1. Purchase your firearm from a licensed FFL dealer including internet sales of firearms in the United States only.

NOTE: Before purchasing your firearm please make sure it is on one of the three approved gun lists that the Metropolitan Police Department Firearm Registration Department goes by. Also, if the firearm is semi-automatic the magazine that comes with the firearm cannot hold more than 10 rounds.

2. Once you have purchased your firearm please Contact Charles Sykes, Jr. at CS Exchange with the contact information of the firearm dealer.

3. Once your firearm has been received from the licensed firearm dealer, Charles Sykes, Jr. of CS Exchange will contact you to schedule an appointment. You will be informed of the documentation and information you will need to bring with you to the appointment.

4. At the designated appointment all paperwork required for registering the firearm will be completed and you will have everything you need to start the registration process with the Metropolitan Police Department Firearm Registration Department of Washington, DC.
